All-on-4® & Zygoma Treatment Concept: Lecture and Hands-on session

This hands-on course will help participants understand the surgical and prosthetic diagnostic principles for treatment of severely atrophied maxilla.  The All-on-4®.  Treatment concept and Zygoma implant were developed to treat patients without the use of bone grafting techniques.  The avoidance of grafting allows many more patients to accept treatment.  Both treatment concepts will be discussed in detail.  The participants will be introduced to the armamentarium and surgical protocol for placement of NobelZygoma 45™ implants.  The surgical steps for placement of implants to utilize the All-on-4® concept will be presented in depth.  This presentation will also cover the various components and prosthetic steps used for the direct conversion of a full denture to a fixed implant-supported provisional prosthesis.  All implants and skull models will available for the participants to place zygoma implants and to take back to their practice for reference.

• Understand the diagnostic principles in treatment of atrophic maxilla
• Be familiar with surgical technique for placement of zygoma implants.
• Be familiar with surgical and prosthetic components available from Nobel Biocare.

The Pterygoid Implant: Value-Added Placement Techniques

Pterygoid Implant insertion is an alternative to avoid sinus lifting or other grafting procedures to treat the posterior maxilla. Pterygoid Implants are especially used in partial or total edentulism in order to avoid distal cantilevers.

The placement of a Pterygoid implant requires surgical experience.

Pterygoid Implants have high success rates, similar bone loss levels to those of conventional implants, minimal complications and good patient acceptance.

• Learn how to find the best cortical anchorage
• Learn to do accurate prosthesis on a Pterygoid Implant
