Pikos Symposium 2023
The evolution of the Implant supported fixed prosthesis
Implant supported fixed prosthesis for the rehabilitation of the failing dentition has become a popular topic over the past years. In addition to finding a cure for edentulism we are also experiencing shortening of treatment times with predictable results thus improving the patient experience. These treatment modalities include a wealth of research and experience that took decades to develop and implement. In this lecture we will look at some of the technological advancements in full arch implants and prosthodontics that has allowed us to render this treatment in a predictable manner.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the different types of fixed full arch prosthesis and the associated surgical protocols
- Evaluate the complications associated with fixed full arch treatment protocols
- Discover the key modifications that will make the procedure more efficient
- Compare the different prosthetic materials and evaluate the pros and cons of each
